Central Australian Health Services Warehouse and Offices

SDA was engaged by contractor MPH Projects to design a bulk health storage facility for their tender to the NT Government. SDA worked closely with MPH Projects to achieve a highly economic and practical solution that maximized site yield. The functionality of the warehouse storage area including vehicle movements was a critical element, combined with the amenity, accessibility and security of the office area that was designed to meet the NT Office Workplace Guidelines.

The building achieves a high level of sustainability, with rooftop photo voltaic panels, high levels of bulk insulation and glazing with minimal exposure to direct sun. The façade of the building facing the street expresses its sustainability credentials with water tanks, shade fins and vertical pergolas for creepers combined to ‘green’ the façade. Water-sensitive landscaping is provided at the front of the building and on the street verge.
