WHAT WE DO
“We engage with the cultural context of each client and project”
From its Alice Springs base SDA provides creative design and responsive and responsible project management on urban and remote projects. The practice engages with the cultural context of each client and project - this philosophy extends to all 'cultures' including Indigenous clients and communities, youth and aged groups, and the corporate culture of particular organizations.
SDA have tasked themselves with discovering and developing a unique regional identity based on the particular culture, history, climate and geography of northern and central Australia. The team evolves this broader project with each commission undertaken - by embedding stories in design, manipulation of water and light, incorporating landscape design and creating a particular sense of place.

THE PROCESS
-
To start, your project needs parameters, guidance and planning. We can help you define your vision, develop a project brief and scope the extent of work required. This information can then be used to set a budget, or seek funding.
-
Your project has a clear vision and scope, now its time to design it. We will work with you from early concept sketches through to detailed design. We can manage with a team of consultants, such as engineers, building certifier and cost consultant to produce a set of drawings and documents ready for construction.
-
We can help you seek competitive pricing and establish a construction contract with your chosen builder. We offer full construction stage services, liaising with you and your builder, assessing progress claims and ensuring the finished project meets your expectations.
You can engage us at any stage of this process; whether you need help scoping your project, seeking funding, understanding the town planning scheme or documentation. Get in touch and tell us some more about your project.
